About Tirunevelli: Tirunelvelli is an important town in the state of Tamil Nadu. It is a place of great natural beauty, thriving on a primarily agricultural economy. In and around the district of Tirunelvelli are several beaches, waterfalls and hill stations that are popular with tourists. While summer days are mostly very hot, monsoons are pleasant. Tirunevelli has an important Christian history, and several of its outstanding schools and colleges owe their beginnings to this

Our current focus is the field of Autism. We are looking for professionals who feel called to work with our children in India. If led to be a part of what God is accomplishing through DisabledChild India, please fill in the form below.

All interviews for selection will take place in the UK. All volunteers selected following interviews must agree to abide by the cultural and social requirements of India, particularly of Tirunelvelli, which is somewhat semi-rural and insular in nature. Please also bear in mind that southern India is hot, with temperatures easily exceeding 40 degrees Celsius in the summer months. Days and nights will also be marked by frequent power cuts (sometimes several hours a day) and interrupted water supply.
